There are several great outreach organizations that are already established in Plain City. PCUMC supports each of these organizations through volunteering, collection of needed items, and monetary donations.
Food Pantry
Plain City UMC supports the Plain City Food Pantry through food drives throughout the year and through the labors of its members at the pantry. Volunteers can assist the Food Pantry on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
Free Clinic Liaison
Plain City UMC supports the Plain City Free Clinic through monetary gifts. The Free Clinic is open on Saturday mornings. More information can be read in this United Way press release http://www.unitedwayofunioncounty.org/pressrel/2008NOV7a.htm.
Christmas Food Baskets
Plain City UMC joins with other churches in the Plain City Area to provide both food and gifts to area families. Families can be "adopted" and gifts purchased for both the children and adults. Participation can also be seen on the Saturday morning prior to Christmas as many gather at 8:30am at the Presbyterian Church to pack the food baskets and deliver the goodies to the families.
