Each quarter Plain City UMC undertakes an outreach project. All are invited to participate.
First Quarter 2009 (Jan - Mar)
Collect Girl Scout Cookies for US troops
Girl Scout cookies can be dropped off in the church fellowship hall during
the month of March. The cookies are shipped overseas to a service man
or women who will ensure that they are distributed.
When purchasing your cookies, please keep in mind that many of our troops
are stationed in very warm climates. Cookies covered in chocolate do not
always survive these climates intact.
Second Quarter 2009 (Apr - Jun)

Third Quarter 2009 (Jul - Sep)
School Supply Drive
School supplies are collected both for our schools and Casa De Misericordia.
For a list of needed supplies, please refer to the Jonathan Alder School
District web site http://www.alder.k12.oh.us.
The primary items needed at Casa de Misericoria are spiral notebooks (wide-ruled)
and pencils/pens.
Items may be dropped off in the Fellowship hall during the month of August.
They will be packaged during the Labor Day Sunday event and distributed
to the local schools and shipped to Casa de Misericordia.
Fourth Quarter 2009 (Oct - Dec)
Blanket Drive
New and gently used clean blankets are collected and distributed to a
local nursing home.
Blankets can be dropped off in the Fellowship hall during the month of
November. They will be delivered to the identified organization in December.
